Defibtech is providing customers with new free software to correct the problem. For the latest information about the software upgrade, please click here. In the meantime, Defibtech AEDs should be kept in service after following the immediate recommendations noted below.

This letter is the notification of the corrective action mailed to all Defibtech customers who own a Defibtech AED. The letter provides a description of the problem and provides immediate recommendations on what should be done until software is upgraded.
If your AED is running software version 2.002 or earlier versions (refer to instructions below to check your software version) please perform these recommendations as soon as possible.
