Now there is something you can do to improve the odds dramatically for your patients and staff with a solution that is easy to use and inexpensive to buy.

Defibtech’s solution

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by chaotic electrical activity in the heart and can only be treated with an electric shock called defibrillation. Recent advances in modern technology, along with legislative support from federal and state governments, have made a solution available to the public. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are this life-saving solution.

The Lifeline ECG unit may be deployed for use as a public access device in AED mode. When a trained responder arrives on the scene, the touch of a button can change the unit’s display from AED mode to ECG waveform display in real-time. Such flexibility makes the Lifeline ECG AED well suited for a wide variety of applications within Healthcare Facility environments. Depending on where they will be deployed, units can be configured into either the AED mode, or the ECG waveform display mode for applications such as intra-hospital transport and crash carts for use by health care professionals.

Defibtech Lifeline AEDs reasonably and economically augment the number of defibrillators that need to be kept on hand for use by lay users, basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS) personnel, and core team members.

When the Lifeline ECG is used for public access, the non-rechargeable battery, with its stand-by life of 4 years, is a conventional configuration. An optional rechargeable battery pack may be a preference in locations where AED programs also support dedicated personnel and maintenance protocols.

Prolete Physical Therapy and New Haven Rheumatology

Milford, CT

It’s fair to say that Sean Hitchcock has a lot to be thankful for and on Monday morning he returned to the office, Prolete Physical Therapy and New Haven Rheumatology, where he suffered a heart attack in the waiting room while his son, Trevor, 17, was present. Hitchcock fell to the floor and Dr. Elise M. Carlson and staff from both medical offices rushed into action and performed CPR on Hitchcock. Carlson grabbed an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which was in the office and after about 10 minutes, Hitchcock was brought back to life.
