Defibtech Selects Kenneth Kanzler as New CFO

Defibtech, LLC, a Nihon Kohden company based in Guilford, Conn., announced today that Kenneth Kanzler has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Kanzler will be overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including strategic financial planning and analysis, corporate planning and business development, accounting and financial reporting, as well as managing tax and audits. He will also serve as the Local Compliance Officer. Kanzler previously was Managing Director and Principal Consultant for Kandoo, LLC.

Defibtech is a leader and innovator in the design and manufacture of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), mechanical chest compressors, and other lifesaving resuscitation products. “Ken brings more than 25 years of proven business acumen, financial leadership experience and broad hands-on operational expertise in medical device and manufacturing industries," said Robert Reinhardt, president and CEO of Defibtech, LLC.

After several years as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, Kanzler spent seventeen years with Olympus Corporation of the Americas where he held positions including Group VP of Finance and Operations, Chief Operating Officer and Executive VP of Operations. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
