All of Defibtech’s products (those currently being shipping and those updated to the latest software versions) conform to the 2015 American Heart Association (AHA) and European Resuscitation Council (ERC) resuscitation guidelines.
Following the release of the latest resuscitation recommendations by the American Heart Association (AHA) and European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Defibtech conducted and completed a review of all products currently being sold. These include the AED products (Lifeline or ReviveR) and the new automated chest compression (ACC) device, the Lifeline ARM.
The review determined that all of Defibtech’s products currently being sold, including AEDs with additional features for guiding compressions during CPR, as well as the chest compression parameters provided by the Lifeline ARM, conform to the newest resuscitation guidelines.
In these latest recommendations, the importance of high quality chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are re-emphasized, upper targets for adult compression rate and depth have been further refined based on preliminary data, and the importance of early defibrillation and the links in the chain of survival re-affirmed.
AHA/ERC Protocol compliant software is being shipped with all new units. Software version 3.001 (Lifeline, Lifeline AUTO and ReviveR AEDs), software version 1.3 (Lifeline and ReviveR VIEW AEDs), and software version 3.1 (Trainer AED), or later are compliant with the latest AHA/ERC guidelines. Any Defibtech products that were previously updated to support at least the 2010 resuscitation guidelines also conform to the current guidelines.
Field upgrade cards are available to upgrade Defibtech AEDs running older software versions. Field upgrade cards are available free of charge and allow users to upgrade their AEDs quickly and easily on location.
Defibtech is proud to continue to offer products that provide superior value, design, and technical innovation. The results are truly useful products with powerful features, functions, and ease of use that lay rescuers to healthcare professionals can use to help save lives.
