2011 Safety Alert

April 29, 2011 – Defibtech, LLC is initiating a worldwide voluntary recall of certain DDU-100 series semi-automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) sold under the Lifeline AED and ReviveR AED brand names. AHA/ERC 2010 Protocol

Current Defibtech software is compliant with AHA/ERC 2010 Guidelines, which emphasize beginning CPR quickly. This software also includes additional features for guiding compressions during CPR.

AHA/ERC 2010 Protocol compliant software is being shipped with all new units. Software version 3.001 (Lifeline, Lifeline AUTO and ReviveR AEDs), software version 1.3 (Lifeline and ReviveR VIEW AEDs), and software version 3.1 (Trainer AED), or later are AHA/ERC 2010 compliant.

Field upgrade cards are available to upgrade Defibtech AEDs. The field upgrade cards are available free of charge and allow users to upgrade their AEDs quickly and easily on location.

June 4, 2010 – Defibtech, LLC, is initiating a voluntary recall of 5,418 DBP-2800 Battery Packs used in the Lifeline AED® and ReviveR AED™ (semi-automatic external defibrillators). This recall affects all DBP-2800 Battery Packs shipped prior to June 4, 2007. More Info
