The company's defibrillators, which revive victims of sudden cardiac arrest, are marketed under the brand names of Lifeline™ and ReviveR™. Defibtech, a leading innovator in the Automated External Defibrillation (AED) market, today announced that it has added close to 50% more floor space to support its growing operations. This additional growth comes less than a year after its last expansion and less than two years after Defibtech's move to its larger headquarters. The space is primarily being used to support an increase in manufacturing operations. Defibtech, LLC, is initiating a voluntary worldwide recall of the Lifeline AED® and ReviveR AED™ (semi-automatic external defibrillators). This recall affects all Lifeline and ReviveR AEDs with software versions 2.002 and earlier. The self-test software for these devices may allow a self-test to clear a previously detected low battery condition. If this situation occurs, the operator may be unaware of the low battery, and the device may be unable to deliver a defibrillation shock, which could result in failure to resuscitate a patient....read more...
