New Hampshire Chooses Defibtech Lifeline AEDs

November 27, 2006

Defibtech, manufacturer of the award-winning, price- and performance-leading Lifeline™ and ReviveR™ brand automated external defibrillators (AEDs), today announced that New Hampshire has chosen the Defibtech Lifeline AED for statewide deployment.

New Hampshire is the latest addition to the growing list of states choosing the Defibtech Lifeline AED as their defibrillator of choice. New Hampshire joins the following states that use the Defibtech Lifeline AED: New Jersey, Florida, Utah, Maine, Idaho, Michigan, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico.

"More and more states are choosing the Defibtech AED for their large-scale deployments," said Defibtech president Gintaras Vaisnys. "We are very pleased that the fact that our AEDs lead the market in combining affordability with quality performance continues to result in states turning to us for their state-wide needs."

AEDs revive victims of sudden cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation. Health experts estimate that sudden cardiac arrest kills about 400,000 people in the United States and millions of people worldwide each year. Studies show that if victims are defibrillated within a minute or two after arrest, more than 70 percent survive. If defibrillation is delayed for more than 10 minutes, only 5 percent live, making immediate access to AEDs vital.
