Defibtech Shipping Lifeline PRO series Defibrillators to International Markets

Defibtech, LLC, a leading innovator in the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) market, today announced that it is shipping Lifeline PRO and Lifeline ECG Automated External Defibrillators to international markets. The first international shipment of Lifeline PRO AEDs was made to Hong Kong.

The Lifeline PRO AED provides professional responders with full manual control over shock energy and delivery. In manual mode, an ECG appears on the PRO’s color video display, and the rescuer can select the energy level and decide when to initiate charge and shock. In AED mode, the PRO can display either an ECG or video instructions for the rescuer. For users who do not need full manual control the Lifeline ECG model can show an ECG, but does not provide manual defibrillation.

“We are pleased to extend the availability of the Lifeline PRO and Lifeline ECG into the worldwide market,” said Gianfranco Buchbinder, vice president of international sales at Defibtech. “We are committed to providing professional users everywhere with this technology.”

Defibtech AEDs have been shipped to more than 40 countries worldwide, including Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Australia, Argentina, Hong Kong, Korea and India. Each country is able to order language specific units, which guide the user through a rescue, providing “step-by-step” instructions. Defibtech AEDs are currently available in over 15 different languages.

Vaisnys said the company has aggressively pursued markets abroad since the company was established in 1999. “Defibtech AEDs became very popular, both in the United States and abroad, because they set new standards for ease of use, reliability, and affordability,” he said. AEDs are best placed in areas where large numbers of people gather — locations such as public buildings, workplaces, schools, churches, health clubs, airports, and hotels. “By being readily available in public locations Defibtech AEDs have been used in thousands of rescue situations all over the world,” Vaisnys stated.

While all of Defibtech’s AEDs are manufactured in the United States, exports account for nearly half of the company’s annual sales. The U.S. Department of Commerce honored Defibtech with an Export Achievement Certificate for targeting export markets and creating jobs.
