Defibtech announced today that the company has shipped more than 300,000 of its Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). The company's defibrillators, which revive victims of sudden cardiac arrest, are marketed under the brand names of Lifeline™ and ReviveR™.  Defibtech AEDs make it easy for anyone—from first responders to untrained bystanders—to respond confidently and appropriately during an emergency.

“That’s a big number, and a testament to our fine products,” stated Defibtech President & CEO Gintaras Vaisnys. “We are very proud of our business achievement and continue to be committed to helping businesses and organizations protect their workers, customers, and visitors.”

Health experts estimate that sudden cardiac arrest kills about 400,000 people annually in North America alone.  Studies show that if victims are defibrillated within three minutes after arrest, more than 74 percent survive. If defibrillation is delayed for more than 10 minutes, only 6 percent live, making immediate access to AEDs vital.
