Defibtech Wins a Gold CT Quality Improvement Award Innovation Prize
Guilford, CT – July 03, 2006 – Defibtech today announced that it has won a 2006 Gold CT Quality Improvement Award Innovation Prize for DefibtechMD, A comprehensive Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Management Service.
The CT Quality Improvement Award is America's oldest state-level Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The award promotes and recognizes performance excellence in CT organizations.
Baldrige trained examiners evaluated the DefibtechMD program and awarded Defibtech with a gold award for this innovative and important AED management program. This 2006 award is the second time that The CT Quality Improvement Award Partnership awarded Defibtech with a Gold Innovation Award. In 2004 Defibtech was awarded the Gold Innovation Award for its Lifeline Automated External Defibrillator.
"DefibtechMD is a full-service approach to AED program management," said Defibtech CEO Dr. Glenn W. Laub, who is also the chairman of cardiac surgery and director of the Heart Hospital at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, N.J.
