Defibtech Ships over 500 Automated External Defibrillators to the State of Maine
GUILFORD, CT – December 31, 2004 – Defibtech, manufacturer of the price- and performance- leading Lifeline™ and ReviveR™ brand automated external defibrillators (AEDs), today announced that for the second year in a row, the state of Maine selected the company's AEDs for deployment throughout the state. More than 200 AEDs were shipped to the state of Maine today, adding to the more than 300 shipped previously.
The state of Maine purchased the AEDs through a Federal grant provided under the Congressional Rural Access to Emergency Devices Act. These AEDs will be deployed throughout rural communities in fire and emergency services vehicles, police vehicles and community facilities. Maine is one of many states, including New Jersey, Florida, Utah, Idaho, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico, which have made the Defibtech AED the defibrillator of choice for large-scale deployments.
