Defibtech Ships 500 Automated External Defibrillators to the State of Arkansas
GUILFORD, CT – June 11, 2004 – Defibtech, manufacturer of the price- and performance- leading Lifeline™ and ReviveR™ brand automated external defibrillators (AEDs), today announced that for the second year in a row, the state of Arkansas selected the company's AEDs for deployment throughout the state. Through the state contract and other buyers, more than 500 Defibtech AEDs have now been delivered to Arkansas, where they will be placed in fire and emergency services vehicles, community facilities, regional health care centers and other locations.
In 2003, the affordable pricing of Defibtech's AED allowed the state of Arkansas to purchase 270 defibrillators through a Federal grant provided under the Congressional Rural Access to Emergency Devices Act. Other states deploying Defibtech AEDs include Louisiana, Maine and Utah.
