Defibtech is providing customers with new free software to correct the problem. For
the latest information about the software upgrade, please click here.
In the meantime, Defibtech AEDs should be kept in service after following the immediate
recommendations noted below.
Customer Confirmation Card
This card confirms that you have received and read the Customer Notification Letter. If you have
not received the Customer Notification in the mail, please read the Customer Notification Letter
below and then print and complete this form and fax back to Defibtech at: 1-203-738-1072.
This letter is the notification of the corrective action mailed to all Defibtech
customers who own a Defibtech AED. The letter provides a description of the
problem and provides immediate recommendations on what should be done
until software is upgraded.
If your AED is running software version 2.002 or earlier versions (refer to
instructions below to check your software version) please perform these
recommendations as soon as possible.
The corrective action affects units with software version 2.002 or earlier
versions. This document provides instructions on how to check the software
version of your AED.
Defibtech has released a new version of software that will correct the problem. Customers can install the new version of software in the field, where the unit is deployed. For more information about software upgrade, please click here.
Defibtech is providing this upgrade software free of charge. The software will be mailed to you directly or provided to you by your distributor. Please provide us with your contact information by filling out this form. This will ensure that the software (with instructions) is sent to you at the correct address.
