Senior Product Manager, EMS / Prehospital

 

Job Description:

The Senior Product Manager, EMS / Prehospital is responsible for the marketing strategy for our EMS and Prehospital product line (including our automatic chest compressor and other new products), and managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and marketing strategy, and partnering closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. Additionally, the product manager is responsible for collaborating with sales, distributors and other support functions to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics to ensure products in the assigned portfolio achieve revenue and operating profit targets. Develop and execute short and long-term marketing programs to ensure profitable market share growth.
  • Develop a product roadmap for EMS and Prehospital products and manage all product release activities such as sales and marketing plan development, product naming, product documentation, packaging, materials, forecasting, and quality release management.
  • Lead product promotion activities, such as pre/post -release customer site activities, demo, evaluation, sample, and event inventory, and other marketing supplies. Create training materials and training programs for the outside and inside sales team.
  • Coordinate project assignments and communication across Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Manufacturing.
  • Provide the requirements to Marketing Communications with content generation of training materials, advertising, marketing collateral, and sales tools.
  • Develop UMR (User Marketing Requirements) for new products.
  • Act as the “messenger of the market” from the outside-in to the rest of the organization.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in product management within a medical device or life sciences company.
  • In depth experience and understanding of the EMS and Prehospital market required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Engineering or business degree preferred. MBA a plus.
  • Successful track record in developing comprehensive product marketing business plans.
  • Strong familiarity with the product development lifecycle. Ability to execute the business plan while managing the PDCA cycle.
  • Comfortable with the FDA and international medical device regulatory processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the passion to drive business growth. Ability to think creatively and pragmatically.
  • Results-oriented with a positive attitude and drive to get things done.
  • Must be detail-oriented and flexible.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to work at Defibtech headquarters based in Guilford, CT on a non-remote, fulltime basis.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
